The idea of a social media hub is as simple as it is innovative, making it possible for the Embassy of Italy in the U.S. to spotlight its activities on a single page:

It started as a public diplomacy experiment -- targeting the Embassy's U.S. audience and the Italian-American community in the country -- that is now drawing approximately 500 unique visitors per month. But what is most interesting is that the page continues to circulate on social netowrks with almost 1,500 "shares" to date, drawing more and more virtual visitors to the Embassy's digital channels. For example, nearly 5,000 people have now watched the presentation video of 2013, Year of Italian Culture in the United States. On social media platforms, the Embassy can now count on more than 6,000 followers on Twitter (including the Embassy's @ITALYinUS account), almost 10,000 "likes" on Facebook, and nearly 30,000 views on Youtube.

There is no question, as proven also in the comments off-line and on social media, that the Hub continues to entertain and attract the public, as does the mini-portal for students Italy4Kids.
